Bernard Bonvin
Senior Partner

Bernard is a senior partner of the Probus group, one of the Group's main shareholders and the Managing Partner of our Dubai office. He joined Probus in 1987, three years after its inception. Since then, Bernard has been leading and co-leading Probus' strategic development.

​

Currently managing Probus Middle East Limited, an independent asset management firm registered and located in Dubai, he is in charge of many aspects of the Group's development, operations and asset allocation. Bernard holds a Swiss Financial Analyst diploma and a Law degree from the University of Geneva. He practiced law prior to joining the Group in 1987. Among other significant professional and academic achievements, Bernard sat ten years on the Board of the Swiss Association of Asset Managers. He is also a member of the Executive Management Committee. 

Marco Berni
Partner

Marco is one of the Group's partners in Geneva, namely in charge of operations and private clients.

Prior to joining Probus in 2009, Marco had spent 23 years in global financial institutions of which notably eight years as Senior Vice President at Coutts & Co Ltd in Geneva looking after a portfolio of private clients and seven years with Barclays Bank, during which he held various positions, among others Managing Director of the private banking unit in Monaco and Head of Fiduciary Services in Geneva.

Marco is a Member of the Society of Estate & Trust Practitioners, an accredited Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and of the United Kingdom Society of Investment Professionals. He is a member of Probus' Executive Management Committee. 

Kim Muller
Senior Partner

Kim is one of the Group's partners and joined Probus in 2002. In his position as Chief Investment Officer, he oversees our investment strategy and asset management policy. His team comprises equity, fixed income, derivatives and capital market analysts. Since 2012, Kim assumed the function of Chief Financial Officer of Probus Middle East Limited.

In 1987, Kim began his career at UBS as a bond and stock trader at the Swiss stock exchange. 9 years later, he was retained to found and manage a dedicated family office. Kim is an accredited Swiss Certified Financial Analyst and a Certified EFFAS Financial Analyst. He is a member of Probus' Executive Management Committee. 

Adrian Kirigin
Partner

Adrian joined Probus in early 2013 and currently sits on the Group’s Board and Investment Committee, as its youngest Partner.

 

He is responsible for our investment team in Dubai, leading its extensive cross asset class research efforts and developing tools to enhance the Group’s investment capabilities. He also manages a portion of Probus’ AUM. His expertise and analysis on global financial markets have significantly contributed to the Group’s investment strategy.

 

He holds a bachelor degree in economics from HEC Lausanne and an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School in London.

Marc Lavoie
Co-Founder Mekong Fund

Marc looks after our investment operations in East Asia and the Pacific. He is a co-founder and investment manager of the Mekong Fund, which commenced operations in 2011. 
 
He grew up in Southeast Asia and has over two decades of professional experience in Southeast Asian equity markets. Previous functions have included: co-founder of the first investment bank in Cambodia (later sold), head of institutional trading operations at Macquarie in Thailand, senior analyst at ING-Barings in Thailand, head of research for Asset Plus in Thailand and senior analyst at Schroders in Thailand. 

 

Marc holds a degree in International Relations from The College of Wooster and a Masters in International Management from Thunderbird.

Andrew Ranken
Co-Founder Mekong Fund

Andrew looks after our investment operations in East Asia and the Pacific and is a co-founder and investment manager of the Mekong Fund, which commenced operations in 2011 and the ASEAN Equity Fund, which commenced operations in 2018.

He has extensive experience in corporate and project finance advisory and in listed and private equity investing in both developing and developed markets, having worked for major investment banks in Asia, Africa, and Australia.  

 
​Andrew holds degrees in engineering (Hons.) and commerce from the University of Melbourne (Australia) and is a CFA Charterholder.
